Quartzite is a non-foliated metamorphic rock composed almost entirely of quartz. It forms when a quartz-rich sandstone is altered by a natural process of heat, pressure, and chemical activity of metamorphism. Quartzite is ideal for any countertop surface due to its durability, strength and a feel of exotic marble

Quartzite is extremely hard natural stone formed from non-folated metamorphic rock that comes from high heat and pressurization of sandstone. Unlike granite, quartzite has uniques patterns with larger veining and in general has less speckles. Since quartzite is a natural stone it does not come in completely white color. Quartzite countertops are elegant and durable, however since its such a hard material its fabrication is more time consuming and more expensive then fabrication of engined quartz, granite or marble.
